If past experiences continue to impact your present—through anxiety, nightmares, triggers, or emotional overwhelm—EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy may help. Whether you’ve lived through trauma, loss, abuse, or chronic stress, EMDR offers a powerful, evidence-based approach to healing that goes beyond talk therapy.
At Summit Family Therapy, our trained EMDR therapists help clients process painful memories and deeply rooted beliefs so they no longer feel stuck or hijacked by the past. EMDR works with the brain’s natural healing processes to reduce distress and create space for peace, clarity, and resilience.
You deserve healing that reaches the root—not just the symptoms.
-
Your spiritual beliefs are an important part of who you are—and they can be a powerful source of strength and healing. At Summit Family Therapy, we offer faith-based counseling for individuals, couples, and families who want to integrate their spiritual values into the therapeutic process.
Whether you're facing life challenges, relationship struggles, grief, or questions about faith and identity, our therapists provide a safe, respectful space to explore your story. We honor your beliefs while helping you navigate emotional pain, mental health concerns, or spiritual wounds with wisdom, grace, and clinical expertise.
You don’t have to choose between your faith and your healing. We welcome both.

Living with ADHD or navigating life as a neurodivergent individual can come with both strengths and challenges. You may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or exhausted from trying to “fit in” to systems that weren’t built with your brain in mind. Whether you're struggling with focus, emotional regulation, time management, or daily routines, you’re not broken—and you’re not alone.
At Summit Family Therapy, we provide affirming, practical support for children, teens, and adults with ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences. Our therapists help you build tools that work for your brain, not against it—so you can thrive at home, at work, in school, and in your relationships.
We celebrate neurodiversity and believe in working with, not against, the way your mind works.

Parenting is one of the most meaningful—and most challenging—roles we’ll ever take on. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck in power struggles, or unsure how to support your child’s emotional needs, you’re not alone.
At Summit Family Therapy, we provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for parents navigating the ups and downs of raising children at any age. When children struggle with big emotions, behavior challenges, anxiety, trauma, or life changes, they often don’t have the words to express what they’re feeling—but they do know how to play. At Summit Family Therapy, we offer play therapy as a developmentally appropriate, research-based approach to help kids process their experiences in a way that feels natural and safe.
Through play, children can explore emotions, build problem-solving skills, express their inner world, and begin to heal. Our trained therapists create a warm, supportive environment where your child feels seen, understood, and empowered. We also collaborate with caregivers to strengthen connection and foster growth at home.
Play is more than fun—it’s a powerful path to healing.

Struggling with substance use can feel isolating, overwhelming, and full of shame—but recovery is possible, and you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you're questioning your relationship with drugs or alcohol, seeking support for addiction, or navigating the impact of a loved one’s substance use, we’re here to help.
At Summit Family Therapy, we provide a nonjudgmental space to explore the underlying pain, patterns, and pressures connected to substance use. Our therapists walk alongside you with compassion and clinical expertise to help you reclaim control, develop healthier coping strategies, and build a life that feels worth staying present for.
Change is possible—and every step forward counts.

When you’ve experienced trauma or abuse, it can change how you see the world, your relationships, and even yourself. You might feel on edge, emotionally numb, overwhelmed by flashbacks or nightmares, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you. These are not signs of weakness—they are your mind and body’s way of surviving something incredibly hard.
At Summit Family Therapy, we provide compassionate, trauma-informed care for those healing from abuse, violence, neglect, or other painful experiences. Our therapists are trained in evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, to help you process what happened, reconnect with your strength, and feel safe in your own body again.
